NEW YORK, JUNE 19, 2008 — Citing the attraction of a more entrepreneurial environment, David Shulman left his post as Digitas Detroit's managing director to lead the New York office for independent digital agency imc². In his role as managing director, Shulman, 39, will also work closely with other senior leaders to expand the office's client base and enhance existing client relationships.

“As an entrepreneur at heart, I was immediately drawn to the high energy and very talented team at imc²,” stated Shulman. “While many agencies claim to help clients grow their business through powerful digital creative that deepens customer relationships, few actually have imc²'s track record of doing so, especially with some of the world's leading brands.”

Shulman will take over his new post in July. He will also serve on imc²'s senior leadership team, which is responsible for the company's overall strategic direction.

“David's strength in engaging talented people, creating exceptional work and delivering results for clients is top notch. He is also a great fit for our culture and values,” stated Doug Levy, imc²'s president and founder, “We are excited to have him join the leadership team and help us grow our New York office.”

In addition to serving as the managing director of Digitas Detroit, during his almost nine-year tenure, Shulman held senior client leadership and new business development positions across the Digitas network in New York, Boston and London for clients such as General Motors, GlaxoSmithKline, InterContinental Hotels and American Express. He has extensive experience in the United States and Europe managing cross-capability teams in a range of industries including travel, insurance, pharmaceutical and automotive. Before joining Digitas, Shulman was brand strategy manager for Jaguar Cars.

Shulman holds a BA, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
