imc² Ramps Up Financial Services Practice, Hires Chris Abelt As VP, Strategy

NEW YORK, June 2, 2008 — imc², a leading digital agency, announced the appointment of Chris Abelt to vice president of strategy for its financial services practice. In this executive-level position, Abelt will focus on expanding imc²'s presence in the financial services vertical by providing strategic guidance for current and future clients.

"As the financial services market continues to shift toward more digital customer acquisition and transactional relationships, imc² is well positioned to increase its presence in the financial services arena with Abelt leading our digital strategy efforts," said Hensley Evans, senior vice president, strategy for imc².

Abelt was the senior vice president/managing director of G2's direct & digital financial services practice in New York before joining imc². He helped the agency expand its strategic and digital engagements with clients such as Aetna and Liberty Mutual Insurance. During his 20-plus years as a financial services marketing specialist, Abelt helped create and implement highly successful digital and through-the-line marketing programs - including brand and DRTV, print advertising, direct mail, sales support as well as web-based customer acquisition and transactional initiatives - on both the agency and client side, with firms such as Wells Rich Greene BDDP and MetLife.

Abelt's past experience includes the launch of the first JP Morgan Chase online banking offering - Chase Direct; MetLink, the first B2B transactional Web site for MetLife; and an innovative online customer acquisition effort for Aetna Medicare.
