Positive Impact Executive Summary
Positive Impact: What others might call CSR, Corporate Responsibility, or Corporate Citizenship, we call Positive Impact. This is a summary of our first Positive Impact Report, which demonstrates our commitment to improving the impacts we have on our people, our clients, and our world. The full report, available at www.imc2.com/csr, details our performance related to five key areas where we have the ability to positively extend our impact: people, services, society, environment, and economic.

imc²'s reason for being is to advance relationships. As we created our first-ever Positive Impact Report, our intention was to allow others to discover what we mean by advancing relationships - with our people, our clients, and society - and how we believe that through our purpose, we can have a positive impact and be a force for good, today and in the future. By advancing relationships, we mean trusted connections that reflect what we value in human interactions - relationships that are personal, authentic, vital, and enduring. We believe these relationships have an intrinsic value. We also know that our approach can deliver extraordinary results for our people, our clients, and society, both in financial terms and the positive impact we have on people's lives.

Advancing Relationships and Corporate Social Responsibility
For imc², corporate social responsibility is about the responsibility that we have to our stakeholders - most importantly, to our clients and our people. We believe it is our responsibility to examine every aspect of our business to create deeper, more meaningful relationships that achieve financial success in ways that honor people, communities, the environment, and ethical values. Specifically for our clients, we are:
- Creating an unparalleled opportunity for our people: When our people love what they do and feel empowered, they have the freedom to innovate, create, and execute game-changing solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.
- Reporting and improving the social and environmental impact of our operations: We are building the experience-based expertise and services to actively support our clients' ongoing CSR efforts.
- Developing services that create sustainable relationships between our clients and their customers: We are actively developing and testing new marketing approaches to create more meaningful relationships between brands and their customers.
2007 Commitments, Target Outcomes, and Progress
Although we began our formal Positive Impact Program in 2007, we are still in the very early stages. We set specific goals and outcomes for 2007 because we believe it's important to establish benchmarks as a way to begin measuring our progress. We do, however, expect these goals and target outcomes to evolve over time as we more fully integrate Positive Impact into the very core of imc². Our efforts focus on five key areas - people, services, society, environment, and economic - each having important impacts on those we touch both within and outside imc².
